Most businesses and organizations build up a huge body of information that they mostly fail to exploit. If people could easily find and access that information, and easily combine it with data from other sources, then that would open up all kinds of new possibilities.

Over the last few years, the potential of the web to distribute information and connect people with common interests has become clear. Our aim is to bring some of that power to the tools for working with data, by building a 'web-native' system for collaboration and data sharing that is easy to use, fits with a flexible fast-changing approach to work and business, and can link in to the wider web of data.
